IRON ORE FINES – IMSBC Code – New Schedule:  The requirement for transport of iron ore fines by sea is changing.  The IMO through the IMSBC Code will be issuing a new schedule for iron ore fines.  How does this affect the carriage of iron ore fines?

MARPOL ANNEX 5 – The IMSBC Code now includes aspects of MARPOL Annex 5.  Further requirements are due in 2015.  How does this affect the carriage of bulk solids?

Dr Jonathan Bound, PhD, MSci, ARCS, DIC, MIEnvSc.    Jonathan is based in London and is a chemist.  Part of his expertise is dealing with environmental matters including hazardous waste disposal, the degradation of pharmaceuticals during wastewater treatment.  Jonathan has also supervised the decontamination and disposal of containers and their contents
